Dr. Dov Weiss is a FRCPC trained anesthesiologist, in good standing with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario”. Upon completing his medical school training in 2003 at McGill, he was accepted into the anesthesia program at the University of Toronto. Graduating from that program allowed him to develop a strong emphasis on interventional ultrasound skills, education and most importantly safety.
Painless Medicine in Downtown Toronto has allowed Dr. Weiss to provide focused care to patients suffering from chronic pain since 2018. His expertise lies in interventional nerve blocks, such as peripheral nerve blocks, that can be used diagnostically or strategically to improve quality of life. He has developed a focus on performing stellate ganglion blocks for patients experiencing PTSD. Dr. Weiss works in close conjunction with other allied health care professionals to improve symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues that often overlap with chronic pain.
Recognizing the current limited options available for the treatment of chronic pain, Dr. Weiss was fortunate to be involved in RTMS. This novel technology created an approach and opportunity to treat chronic pain and its associated symptoms using a strategy that was previously unavailable to patients in Canada.
Dr. Weiss is a vocal advocate for ketamine and incorporates IV Ketamine into his treatment protocol for patients. Understanding the uniqueness of each patient, he has dedicated his practice to optimizing each individual’s pain condition and enhancing their quality of life.
His practice embodies a forward-looking perspective and a wholehearted commitment to patient care. Dr. Weiss consistently pursues lifelong learning, staying abreast of the latest medical research and advancements. He values patient autonomy, honesty, compassion, and the ongoing well-being of his patients.
